What Causes a Size Content Creator to Fail?

Why do content creators, paid or unpaid, in this line of work stop producing content? I asked around 100 creators and here's what they had to say.

59% said they lost interest/passion in their work.

24% said they produce too much quantity and not enough quality.

8% said their content has too narrow of a fanbase.

4% said they produce too much quality and not enough quantity.

4% said they produce too much of the same content.

My takeaway from this is quality trumps quantity and by a factor of about 6, no less. Make high-quality work and be proud of it. Be so proud that losing interest is no longer an option.

This community is growing (heh) by the day and we have to do everything possible to ensure it does so in a healthy and positive manner.
